Amy Schumer and Judd Apatow Gifted the Critics’ Choice Awards With a Trio of Delightfully Boozy Speeches

At the Critics’ Choice Awards last night, Amy Schumer won Best Actress in a Comedy and the MVP award for her incredible year, which included everything from starring in Trainwreck and Inside Amy Schumer to becoming the internet’s favorite feminist sister. And as you might expect Amy Schumer to do, the comedian took full advantage of the booze at the CCAs (and the opportunity to send drinks to other attendees via Twitter), which led to not one, but two, delightfully boozy acceptance speeches. You can watch the first above, and the second, which includes both Schumer’s announcement that she would like to go down on Lily Tomlin and a befuddling aside about the state of Florida, below.

To be fair, Trainwreck producer Judd Apatow set the tone for the evening with his rambling introduction to Schumer. Before getting to the comedian, Apatow even took the time to call out hilarious Golden Globe Best Comedy winner, The Martian. “We only have one award, Matt!” he told Matt Damon, who was in the audience. “That’s all we get. I’m like a nerd on the schoolyard and you stole my milk money.”

Watch out, Hollywood Foreign Press. The Golden Globes may no longer be Hollywood’s drunkest awards show.
