Bill Maher Has Started a Petition to Get President Obama on His Show, Which Already Has More Than 30,000 Signatures

President Obama has done interviews on numerous talk shows throughout his time in office, from CNN to YouTube, but he has never appeared on Bill Maher’s Real Time With Bill Maher. And Bill Maher — who, you must realize, never self-promotes — has decided that, as a small birthday gift to himself, Obama should stop by before he leaves office. On his show last night, amid guest John Krasinski’s terrified “Jim from The Office” glances at the camera, Maher explained that if an official White House petition gets more than 100,000 signatures, Obama is duty bound to respond. His petition already has more than 30,000 signatures, so brace yourselves for the most awkward late night interview ever.
