Big-time Star Wars devotee Kid Cudi kicked the New Year off on a generous note: Over the weekend the rapper-actor treated his followers in the L.A. area to a 3D Force Awakens screening, because only seeing the movie once is almost as unbelievable as the idea of a Force-savvy Jar Jar Binks. “I pretty much bought the entire theater so lets [sic] pack it up,” he wrote Saturday evening on Twitter, referring to the Pacific Theatres at Glendale’s Americana mall. “Why am I doing this? It’s Star Wars … and I thought it would be cool to start the year off watching a great film for the 3rd time with some great company.”

Fans were told to come early for the 11 p.m. showing, with a piece of official Cudi merch in hand. You bet they did:

If you’re jealous you missed out, or if you really want to be there for Cudi’s fourth time seeing the movie (or both), fear not: He said he’s going to do “this a couple more times in different cities for fun. So yeah, no stress.” Just turn on mobile notifications for the person who should be Disney’s new Chosen One, and make sure you have the necessary materials.
