“American Pie” singer-songwriter Don McLean, beloved of dads everywhere and an oldies-station staple, was arrested at his Camden, Maine, home this morning and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence. After being placed in jail for a few hours, McLean was released on bail. Knox County corporal Bradley Woll declined to provide any more details about the incident, which allegedly happened at 2 a.m., but did ominously tell People, “He’s not the first celebrity we’ve dealt with and he won’t be the last.”
