Surviving Members of Nirvana Cover Bowie’s ‘The Man Who Sold the World’ With Beck

Depending on your age and musical predilections, your mind automatically plays “The Man Who Sold the World” in either David Bowie or Kurt Cobain’s voice. (Nirvana famously covered the Bowie song on a 1994 episode of MTV’s Unplugged.) Sunday night Beck joined Nirvana members Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear to cover the Bowie classic at Clive Davis’s annual pre-Grammy party. Lady Gaga is scheduled to perform a David Bowie tribute medley during the Grammys Monday night, and while there’s no word on what songs she’ll perform, come on, this seems like an iconic no-brainer.
