Back in 2014 Funkadelic released their three-disc album, First Ya Gotta Shake the Gate, which included the long, deep set groove that is “Ain’t That Funkin’ Kinda Hard on You?” The track got remixed last September by Louie Vega, who added in Kendrick Lamar and a faster, dance-ready tempo. Now the legendary funk outfit has given the track another spin in the blender, slowing the tempo back down and adding in a verse from Ice Cube. The “We Ain’t Neva Gonna Stop Remix” has the most texture yet, melding funk and soul vibes with a few Compton references from Ice Cube, who recently presented Kendrick with Best Rap Album at the Grammys.
