Ahead of the Full Frontal with Samantha Bee premiere on Monday, TBS gave the press a sneak peek of the set last night as well as some clips of what we can expect from the show. Like Trevor Noah’s Daily Show premiere, Samantha Bee’s big debut won’t just air on TBS – it will be simulcast on Turner’s other networks TNT, Adult Swim, truTV, and HLN when it airs on Monday at 10:30pm before Conan. In the meantime, here’s a quick look at Bee’s set – she currently shares the same CBS studio as Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and has notably chosen to go without the traditional late night desk:
The choice to go without a desk makes sense considering Bee and crew are planning to focus more on field pieces than typical self-promotional interviews with celebrity guests. While the Full Frontal team is still figuring out how they’ll play with their 30-minute format, the sneak peek they shared of their field piece on Syrian refugees in Jordan proved that they plan to tackle plenty of serious current events by using the skills and humor Bee developed during her impressive run as a Daily Show correspondent.
