Michael K. Williams Confirms Slimer Is in Fact in the New Ghostbusters, Which Is Good Because Who Else Was Going to Eat All Those Hot Dogs?

They had the gallons of ectoplasm. They had the carts filled with half-eaten hotel food. They had the dozens upon dozens of hot dogs ready to jam in a ghost’s mouth. Were Paul Feig and writer Katie Dippold not going to put Slimer (a.k.a. Onionhead) in the new Ghostbusters movie? No! Don’t be an idiot! As hoped and prayed for by the masses, Ghostbusters actor/living co-star Michael K. Williams has confirmed that the franchise’s signature apparition will be in the movie. “I’m not going to lie, working with Melissa, and Kristen, and Kate, was really dope,” Williams, who plays an FBI agent in cahoots with the film’s mayor, told Entertainment Weekly’s Sirius show “Entertainment Weirdly.” “But I got to work with Slimer, dude. Like Slimer!!! I’m in a scene with Slimer! I’m a huge Ghostbusters fan and it was a dream come true.” And congratulations to those who’ve dreamed they would one day see Michael K. Williams show off his acting chops across from, of all creatures, Slimer. You really knocked having a bizarrely specific dream out of the park.
