Hozier and Saoirse Ronan Made a Music Video That Addresses Domestic Abuse

Oscar-nominee Saoirse Ronan stars in the music video for Irish singer-songwriter Hozier’s song “Cherry Wine,” which concerns domestic abuse. The video also features Vikings actor Moe Dunford. “Domestic violence is an ongoing issue in our society, the statistics of which are shocking and the effects of which damage whole families, communities, and span generations,” Hozier says. “With the song ‘Cherry Wine,’ I tried to get across the difficulty of coming to terms with and facing up to domestic violence and the dynamic of an abusive relationship.” All proceeds from the song will go to international domestic-abuse charity organizations.
