Welcome to The Second City Archives, in which we post an exclusive clip each week of some of comedy’s biggest superstars performing early in their careers on the legendary Chicago stage. Second City has generously given us a glimpse into their extensive archive of live performances, and over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing some rare and retro comedy never before seen on the web.
To celebrate Seeso’s new series Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, this week Second City unearthed a clip featuring one of its alums and Bajillion costar Tim Baltz. From the 2011 revue Sky’s the Limit (Weather Permitting), the above scene stars Baltz, Michael Lehrer, and Brendan Jennings as three boys who get caught drinking by their mothers played by Aidy Bryant, Jessica Joy, and Mary Sohn, who happen to have very different approaches to disciplining their children. Hopefully Baltz’s time out at the Reflection Wall made him rethink ever drinking peppermint schnapps again. Check out another clip from the same revue here.
