As you may have heard, unless you’re living under a rock that doesn’t get Netflix, there’s a Full House reboot happening, called Fuller House, and it comes out this Friday. The only difference, besides the fact that everyone has aged considerably? Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, the famous fashion designers who once played Michelle Tanner and also starred in acclaimed film Billboard Dad, did not return. People magazine spoke with executive producer Bob Boyett, who said, “Ashley said, ‘I have not been in front of a camera since I was 17, and I don’t feel comfortable acting.’ Mary-Kate said, ‘It would have to be me because Ash doesn’t want to do it. But the timing is so bad for us.’” The show explains their absence, saying that Michelle is “busy running her fashion empire in New York.” Wink wink, nod nod. They’ll also probably add something like, “Plus, Michelle hasn’t been the same ever since she married the half-brother of the former French president.”
