The 2016 Daytime Emmy Awards nominations have been announced, honoring excellence in soaps, daytime talk shows, and Sesame Street. The Young and the Restless led the soaps with a whopping 27 nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series. The Ellen DeGeneres Show got most of the talk-show love, with ten nods. Sesame Street is still going strong with ten nominations. The ceremony will not be televised for the second time in the past three years according to The Wrap, so, unfortunately, you will miss out on seeing Big Bird’s red-carpet look.
