Well troublin’ news, bruv: Grime rapper Skepta has been denied an entrance visa to get into the United States, which means the poor bloke’s gonna have to miss his set at Coachella, an American music festival. The rest of the MC’s tour dates across the 3.8 million–square-mile country are in jeopardy as well. It’s a major disappointment, innit, as Skepta was just starting to blow up across the pond, thanks to some prominent co-signs from Drake: Last year, the Canadian rapper collaborated with Skepta on a remix of Nigerian singer Wizkid’s “Ojuelegba,” and he reportedly signed to Skepta’s label Boy Better Know in February. On his Instagram, Skepta says he’s taking “forward steps” to sort out the mess. Hopefully his efforts won’t be shut down.
