Back in January, Ice Cube said he was planning an N.W.A reunion at Coachella, and last night, he delivered — almost. Ice Cube brought MC Ren and DJ Yella to the stage to perform “Straight Outta Compton” and “Fuck tha Police,” but sadly Dr. Dre wasn’t there to participate (nor were there any Eazy-E holograms, despite Coachella’s fondness for resurrecting departed stars). Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson J., who played his father in Straight Outta Compton, also took the stage, along with Common and Snoop Dogg. Thank the stars that recent Rock & Roll inductee seems to have more exciting things on his mind that his beef with Gene Simmons.
