Sesame Street’s local Afghanistan production Baghch-e-SimSim will be adding their first girl Muppet for the show’s fifth season, and based on the adorable behind-the-scenes video, Zari is totally cool about being a puppet TV star being operated by a team of human people. That’s a lot for a 6-year-old. She’s a trooper. Sesame Street International Social Impact says Zari “will be featured in new, locally produced segments that focus on topics like: girls’ empowerment, national identity, physical health … and MORE!,” and if that doesn’t make you feel all warm inside, perhaps you are the intimate object with Ping-Pong ball eyes.
