In March, Maze Runner star Dylan O’Brien sustained “very serious” injuries while filming the third film in the dystopian sci-fi series, Death Cure, in Canada. During a shoot involving a high-speed car chase, O’Brien was reportedly in a harness on top of a moving vehicle and was abruptly pulled off and hit by another vehicle, sustaining a “concussion, facial fracture and lacerations.” His injuries and recovery time sparked doubt that the film’s original February 17, 2017, would remain, but now Fox has officially announced the status of the film Death Cure will be delayed nearly a year to January 12, 2018. A date for the film’s production to begin again has yet to be announced, though. Here’s hoping he has a speedy recovery.
