After premiering exclusively on Snapchat yesterday, the first four-and-a-half minutes of Preacher are now enjoying wider circulation. The above sneak peek shows “Genesis” meeting a false prophet — plus a brief Dominic Cooper appearance. The explosive result is not the kind of miracle one necessarily hopes to witness, but it is an indication of how Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s new AMC series will use violence, action, humor, and foreshadowing to tell the story of small-town Texas preacher Jesse Custer. The fireworks continue Sunday, regardless of Tom Cruise’s enthusiasm.
