If you haven’t heard Aaron Sorkin talk about screenwriting, you haven’t seen Shakespeare the way it was meant to be played. Accordingly, the West Wing creator, whose relationship with the internet is best described as “fraught,” announced on Wednesday that he had teamed up with the MasterClass program to offer a $90 online screenwriting course this summer, complete with “5+ hours of video lessons” and a “downloadable workbook.” Not to be outdone, Jonathan Franzen announced his own new career as a social-media guru.
