Here’s a clip from Bo Burnham’s appearance on last night’s Conan, where O’Brien asks him what advice he’d give to aspiring performers out there and gets the most blunt, honest, and depressing response from Burnham possible: Just give up. “I would say don’t take advice from people like me, who have gotten very lucky. Taylor Swift telling you to follow your dreams is like a lottery winner saying ‘Liquidize your assets! Buy Powerball tickets! It works!’” he says. “And we’re tall white guys – we overcame nothing to be here. There was nothing standing in our way and we barely got here. You have no chance.”
