Hold on, Drake’s going home to clean up at another awards show. Toronto’s favorite son took home five of the 14 trophies given out at the Much Music Video Awards Sunday. Much, which is like Canada’s version of MTV, rightfully heaped praise on the singer for willingly becoming the perfect meme with his “Hotline Bling” video, which won him the 2016 titles for Best Music Video, Best Hip Hop Video, and Best Director. Drake’s work with Majid Jordan took the MuchFACT award — which has something to do with music videos made with grant funds for Canadian musicians, because they do that up there. The might of Drake’s cellphone (you used to call him on it) also made him the Most Buzzworthy Canadian over the dulcet vibrations of Justin Bieber and The Weeknd.
