Whenever Jenny Slate visits a late night show, you can always count on her telling a hilariously uncomfortable story about her past, and her appearance on last night’s Late Show was no exception. This time she told Stephen Colbert about the day she found her dog Reggie, a day she calls “maybe one of the worst days of my life.” The day involved a job interview with an unknown opera singer, stepping on a burrito, and jars filled with pee, but thankfully her chance run-in with an unwanted dog turned things around. “They were like ‘Oh, he’s just not a puppy and nobody really wants him and we don’t know what to do with him,’” she says. “Then I was just like ‘Sold!’”
