Some bands, they love their farewell tours. The Who, Kiss — Steven Tyler doesn’t wanna do that. In May, Tyler hinted to Rolling Stone that a farewell tour might be imminent; this week, speaking with Howard Stern, the scarf aficionado confirmed that Aerosmith are planning an official 2017 farewell tour. “I love this band, I really do, and I want to squash every thought that anybody might have about this,” he said. “We’re doing a farewell tour, but only because it’s time. We’ve never done that.” Tyler has been promoting his new country album We’re All Somebody From Somewhere, and will play 30 solo shows this year. You don’t wanna close your eyes, you don’t wanna fall asleep, cause you might miss your last chance to see one of the definitive dad-rock bands perform.
