Almost a year ago, TV Land ordered a comedy pilot from Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, and now the project has landed a series order. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered the half-hour single-cam comedy Nobodies. The show is based on the lives of McCarthy and Falcone’s friends and fellow Groundlings alums Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf, and Rachel Ramras, “who watched as their friends from The Groundlings went on to star in blockbuster comedies and win Oscars, while they toiled away writing for children’s television.” The three will write and star in the series, MADtv alum Michael McDonald will serve as showrunner, and they’ve already got a bunch of guest stars lined up including Maya Rudolph, Jason Bateman, Jim Rash, and Nat Faxon.
