After legendary director Garry Marshall died on Tuesday night, many celebrities, both those who owed their success to him and those who only knew him in passing, took to Twitter to remember his legacy. As a writer, producer, creator, and director whose career spanned over five decades, he left a large footprint in the industry. Though he was no doubt a major powerhouse — his credits include Happy Days, The Odd Couple, Laverne and Shirley, Pretty Woman, Valentine’s Day, and many other television series and movies — Marshall was also remembered for having a warm and generous personality.
