The boys Cool Kids are back (together). The Chicago-based rap duo is reuniting, members Chuck Inglish and Sir Michael Rocks announced Wednesday. Inglish tweeted the news first, writing: “I called Mikey and realized nothing would feel better than us being the originators again. The Cool Kids are back forreal.” The Cool Kids parted ways shortly after the release of their first studio album When Fish Ride Bicycles, back in 2011. They’re reteaming now because the universe demands it — or, as Inglish put it: “So prepare for things to go back to they were suppsosed [sic] to be. The Cool Kids together is what is right in the world. It’s on.” Showing the true unity of some real rad children, Rocks agreed that the Cool Kids’ return is what this whacked world has been waiting for. He tweeted: “EVERYTHING ELSE CAN WAIT. THE WORLD IS FUCKN TRIPPIN RIGHT NOW I JUST WANT SHIT TO FEEL GOOD AGAIN.” The Cool Kids will start on making new music just as soon as Inglish and Rocks wrap up some solo projects. Inglish and Rocks: Just a couple of Cool Kids longing for the return of their glory days. Let’s have ’em!
