Looks like everyone’s favorite surrealist auteur has a bit of free time from wrapping up the upcoming Twin Peaks revival. David Lynch has joined Lucky, John Carroll Lynch’s directorial debut, alongside Harry Dean Stanton. Lynch’s role is currently unknown — how very fitting — but the film follows “the spiritual journey of a 90-year-old atheist” played by Stanton, and the “quirky characters that inhabit his off-the-map desert town.” (Wowza, that sounds awfully familiar, minus the desert part!) Lynch and Stanton have been frequent collaborators for years, with Stanton confirmed to appear in the upcoming season of Peaks. The bottom line: YOU ARE WITNESSING A FRONT THREE-QUARTER VIEW OF TWO FRIENDLY COLLABORATORS SHARING A TENDER MOMENT.
