Our journey with Harry, Ron, and Hermione has come to an end. On hand to celebrate the opening night of the critically adored Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in London’s West End, J.K. Rowling confirmed that the play will serve as the official ending point of the Potter series. Specifically, when asked if Cursed Child would herald any new Harry material, Rowling responded with a “no, no.”

“He goes on a very big journey during these two plays and then, yeah, I think we’re done,” she told Reuters. “This is the next generation, you know. So, I’m thrilled to see it realized so beautifully, but, no, Harry is done now.” The Boy Who Lived will always live on.
