During last night’s Late Show, Stephen Colbert decided it was time to go back to confession to seek forgiveness for the sins he’s recently committed – or, if not sins, things he did or thought that he feels pretty bad about now: “I tell kids that after he’s done delivering presents every year, Santa gives birth to next year’s Santa. He’s not fat, he’s pregnant.” In any case, that confession at the end about the boat is definitely a mortal sin, so it’s a good thing Stephen came clean about it sooner than later.
