Fox has cancelled the Lonely Island-produced sketch show Party Over Here after one season. The late night show, which starred Jessica McKenna, Nicole Byer, and Alison Rich and featured Paul Scheer as showrunner, aired before SNL on Saturday nights. It never really caught on, according to Fox TV Group chairman Dana Walden. “It was an effort to try to do something interesting at a low price point with content creators who we like a lot. We were hopeful that little elements of the show might go viral.” Unfortunately that didn’t happen, despite the excellent talent both in front of and behind the cameras.
