Back in 2011, when we were young and innocent enough to be shocked by Charlie Sheen’s shenanigans, Hugh Grant was in the running to replace him on Two and a Half Men. As Grant explained on Howard Stern, the show’s producers approached him for a part, but they never really knew what it would be. “They didn’t have a script or a new character,” Grant said. “They just said, ‘Trust us, we’ll create one.’” Grant did not trust them, and now he has missed out on years of CBS money, though of course now he’s in a movie with Meryl Streep, so we shouldn’t feel too bad.
