Whatever happened to predictability? The milkman, the paperboy, evening TV cameos that tug at your nostalgia strings and make you yearn for your past? Stephanie Tanner herself, Jodie Sweetin, is wholly aware of the drama that never really was with Fuller House’s season one production, when Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen politely declined making an appearance as Michelle Tanner. (A choice that was jokingly mentioned in the show’s series premiere.) There was still a sliver of hope that either of the Olsens — who both retired from acting years ago and now run very successful fashion brands — would make a potential future cameo, but Sweetin has unfortunately just shut down any prospect of that occurring.

“We’ve tried everything” Sweetin told Entertainment Tonight earlier this week. “I think we’ve kinda given up.” On the bright side, though, Sweetin went on to say that when Fuller House returns to Netflix for a second season, there will be a plethora of celebrity cameos. “We have a lot,” she said. “A lot of people that have been talked about for like 30 years are going to be on the show. It’s going to be a lot of fun.” To the Row we must go for our Olsen fix, then.
