HBO’s Last Week Tonight is currently on hiatus, but thankfully John Oliver released a new web exclusive where he pitches the perfect solution to the oversaturation of Marvel/DC superhero movies: a fresh, new superhero franchise based on the brave superhero he created in fifth grade, Johnny Strong. “By day he is mild-mannered fifth grader John Olivier – no relation. But from the time school lets out until dinner he becomes the, let’s say, unconventionally handsome hero Johnny Strong,” Oliver says. “Johnny Strong is a kickass hero with a bad attitude. He’s seen a boob, and he knows what the F word is.”
