The higher powers behind Stranger Things have said that they aren’t totally sure as to what shape a prospective season two of the Netflix series would take. Well, we’ve got a suggestion for ’em: big, honkin’ musical. First, we learned that Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) is a covers queen. Then, we got word of Joe Keery’s (Steve) psychedelic-rock roots. Now, there’s beautiful video proof that Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) is a Broadway baby. The curly-mopped kid, perched in a party space in front of a giant Spongebob Squarepants, sang “Bring Him Home” from Les Misérables — and not to be excessively on-the-nose, but you can bet Matarazzo carried that tune to its chosen berth right nice. His performance is not his first experience with the operatic musical; Matarazzo played Gavroche and Petit Gervais in the show on Broadway.
