It apparently took over a year to get her weave-snatching arm in peak condition, but the months of training are finally over. Fox announced today that “global icon” Mariah Carey will be guest starring in the upcoming season of Empire, premiering on Wednesday, October 5. Lee Daniels initially hyped a Mariah appearance last August, but, as they say, good things come to those who wait. Good things being Mariah Carey fistfighting Lucious’s mom at the top of an incredibly steep stairwell.
