It seems that Winston is going to learn a thing or two from the NYPD. At its Television Critics Association panel today, Fox announced plans for a two-part crossover episode between Brooklyn Nine-Nine and New Girl. The characters on the Fox shows will meet up in New York on October 11 for the special, which will start with Nine-Nine’s 8 p.m. ET/PT showing and then lead into New Girl immediately after. “New Girl and Brooklyn Nine-Nine will proudly and humbly go where few shows have gone since the 1990s,” said New Girl creator Liz Meriwether. “We know we have big shoes to fill, and we look forward to disappointing everyone.” First question for this newly christened sitcom-verse: Why is Coach leading a double life as detective Stevie Schillens?
