Daily Show alum Aasif Mandvi just found a new starring TV role. According to Deadline, Showtime is developing a show co-written by Aasif Mandvi and Dave Holstein called Fatwa, which stars Mandvi as LK Hussein, “a struggling cartoonist whose death threat becomes the greatest thing that ever happened to him.” Mandvi and Holstein both worked together on HBO’s The Brink last year and will serve as co-executive producers on the new Showtime project.
