At this point, it’s more like the long-term-relationship experience. At the Television Critics Association press tour today, Starz announced that it has renewed The Girlfriend Experience for a second season. Initially advertised as a limited series, the show will now operate as an anthology. Co-creators Lodge Kerrigan and Amy Seimetz, alongside executive producer Steven Soderbergh, will introduce “entirely new characters and plotlines” in the next installment (though the show will presumably still be about call girls and the glass office buildings they love). The 14-part second season doesn’t yet have an air date.
