JonBenét Ramsey Mini-series Trailer: CBS Pitches Its Own Making a Murderer

Now that Making a Murderer has helped get Brendan Dassey’s conviction overturned and Serial has helped get Adnan Syed a new trial, true-crime investigations have gained a reputation for doing well with viewers and actually getting the ball rolling on achieving real-life justice. CBS is getting in on the action with Case Closed: JonBenét Ramsey, the first installment of its new true-crime anthology program, which will assign new investigators to the case of the death of the 6-year-old beauty-pageant contestant. Much in the style of the great, impartial ideals of our now-outmoded legal system, CBS’s program features a lot of splashy jump cuts, intimidating British accents, and replicas of key rooms in the Ramsey house. Hooray for justice!
