Charlie Sheen is back in business. Sony’s streaming service, Crackle, announced today that it has started production on an original movie called Mad Families about three families who are forced together when they all lay claim to the same campsite. Sheen will play a character named Charlie Jones, who is described as “a loveable man-child with a heart of gold and a unique way of looking at the world.” In order to settle the dispute around the site, the three groups agree that the best way to solve the situation is through a series of competitions, and all the while “the brassy, biting Charlie quips and complains his way through the great outdoors, but ultimately, with the help of his fellow campers, ends up realizing what’s most important in life.” The movie is being directed by Fred Wolf (Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser, another Crackle original), who wrote the script with David Spade. Sheen is also executive-producing.
