At this rate, September should just be renamed “JonBenét Ramsey television investigation month.” Following A+E, Investigation Discovery, CBS, and Lifetime announcing that they would each be dedicating special programming to the murder of the 6-year-old Colorado beauty queen, NBC is the latest network planning to air yet another JonBenét Ramsey special. Dateline will be airing the two-hour Who Killed JonBenét? this Friday to coincide with the 20th anniversary of her death; the special will include exclusive interviews with the Boulder Police Department’s Jane Harmer (in her first-ever televised appearance) and Denver Police Department’s Tom Haney, two former detectives who were closely involved with the case. The special will also include interviews with Pam Barday, a friend of the Ramsey family; Kimberly Archuleta, the 911 dispatcher who took Patsy Ramsey’s call; and Bob Whitson, a retired detective sergeant at Boulder PD who was at the Ramsey house on the first day of the murder investigation, to reexamine the case’s evidence. Start finalizing your theories.
