LeBron James is having the best, nay, only good 2016, and he keeps those successes coming like so many balls through so many basketball rings. James’s SpringHill Entertainment, which partnered with Warner Bros. last year, just sold its first scripted television project to NBC. It’s a not-yet-titled sports-medicine drama, which features “a brilliant doctor who specializes in treating the world’s greatest sports stars. Only when the doctor undergoes a health crisis, it forces him to rethink his approach to medicine with the help of a gifted sports psychologist.” (Famed orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews will consult.) Turns out, the most badly damaged meniscus of all? The human heart. Also, the actual meniscus.
