Mike Myers and Bonnie Hunt Make Some Important Decisions in Second City’s 1987 Pilot ‘110 Lombard Street’

Welcome to The Second City Archives, in which we post an exclusive clip each week of some of comedy’s biggest superstars performing early in their careers on the legendary Chicago stage. Second City has generously given us a glimpse into their extensive archive of live performances, and over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing some rare and retro comedy never before seen on the web.

This week, Second City sent us another clip from the 1987 television pilot 110 Lombard Street, which starred Ryan Stiles, Bob Bainborough, and Mike Myers and featured Dana Andersen, Bonnie Hunt, Linda Kash, Richard Kind, Jane Morris, Bruce Pirrie, Audrey Webb, and Mark Wilson. In the above clip, Myers and Hunt play a couple who reach a crossroads in their relationship when Hunt gets a promotion that would move them both to California – a move Myers’s very indecisive character isn’t quite sure about yet. Thankfully, the waiter at the restaurant (played by Wilson) is there to help Myers grow a little bit of a backbone. “I’m a flower and you ripped off all of my petals, letting the essence of my remorse waft into the skies!” Check out another clip from the pilot featuring Myers and Richard Kind here.
