Spinal tumors, marriage fraud, suicide, horrible bangs: Just like all those crazy T.S. Eliot poems about cats, Muriel’s Wedding has always been destined for the stage. According to Entertainment Weekly, Muriel’s Wedding The Musical will finally debut next fall, though sadly you will have to take a 23-hour flight to see it. Written and directed by PJ Hogan with music by Kate Miller-Heidke, Keir Nuttall and, of course, Swedish supergroup ABBA, the show will debut November 6, 2016, at the Roslyn Packer Theatre in Sydney. There will hopefully with a showstopping finale number entitled “What a Bunch of C*cks*ckers.”
