Netflix’s Narcos arrived on the scene last year with an unusual problem: Its best character was going to have to die on December 2, 1993. (Is that a spoiler? Sorry.) The show’s producers have said that the crime drama will continue past Pablo Escobar’s death, and on Tuesday Netflix confirmed it, renewing Narcos for two additional seasons. With Escobar out of the picture, the show is free to run as long as the drug war — and wow, suddenly this news got a whole lot more depressing.
