Samantha Bee is back! In the five weeks since her last episode — peak silly season — a lot of bullshit went down. It was mostly the usual: Hillary gaffes, Trump lies, and TV “journalists” abdicating their responsibility to hold anyone accountable, or contextualize. That last bit of bullshit may have reached a tipping point when NBC’s Matt Lauer moderated a commander-in-chief forum from the Intrepid last week, and basically crashed the figurative ship with his ineptitude.
