New Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life Trailer: A Kids’ Movie Full of Funny Adults

The upcoming movie Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life looks neatly packaged for a family-friendly night at the theater, but it’s also got a full lineup of seriously funny grown-up talent. Based on the book by James Patterson, Middle School follows young Rafe Khatchadorian as he embarks on his first year of middle school. Middle school threatens to be the worst time in anyone’s life, but Rafe’s experience is made particularly bad by an authoritarian principal (Andrew Daly) who cracks down on anything resembling fun. The title character is played by Griffin Gluck, who already has a lengthy TV resume, and he’ll be surrounded by comedians like Retta, Adam Pally, and Rob Riggle. His onscreen partner in crime will also be played by burgeoning young comedic force Thomas Barbusca, who broke out last year as the Burp King of Westchester in Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. And hey, who doesn’t want more Lauren Graham?
