As promised, Maroon 5 dropped the music video for their new song “Don’t Wanna Know,” featuring Kendrick Lamar, on Today this morning. In it, the band and a bevy of celebrities are hunted down like the dogs, turtles, bears, and sentient oranges they are in a Pokémon Go–style reimagining of Los Angeles. Levine pines for his lost love Sarah Silverman while trying to avoid capture/death/starstruck teens alongside the likes of Ed Helms and Vince Vaughn. However, in Maroon 5’s reality, celebrities can legally destroy people with some kind of neon-blue death laser, which would make most fandoms a lot more interesting.
