Here’s a clip from Nick Offerman’s appearance on last night’s Late Show, where Stephen Colbert asks him about his passion for all things wood and woodworking: “The older I get, the more my intimacy with wood consumes a large part of my day.” Colbert also presents him with some pieces of wood for him to describe including mahogany (“royalty” that deserves respect), cedar (“a dependable hippie”), and maple (“the valedictorian of the cabinet woods”).
