In case you weren’t already aware of the casting media blitz, Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina, and Sarah Paulson are in the cast of a Gary Ross–directed, all-women remake of Ocean’s Eleven titled Ocean’s Eight. It sounds fun. More importantly, thanks to the diligent efforts of the paparazzi, a few set photos from the shoot have leaked, and they are gorgeous. By “they,” of course, we mean the actresses’ coats.
Now, our two leads seem to have some pretty great coats. But we really hope that Rihanna gets the biggest, baddest coat. She needs something better, if not on par, with her heart-shaped fur.
Here’s another look at Cate Blanchett, who appears to be playing the Elliott Gould “eccentric money behind the operations” role, only several magnitudes classier.
Helena Bonham Carter is not wearing a coat. But we can only assume she’ll upgrade to her outwear once the movie’s plot clicks into motion — perhaps after they steal some coats from the coat factory that is clearly central to their heist?
