Space Jam Is Returning to Theaters for Its 20th Anniversary, Because, Wow, Michael Jordan Just Cannot Get the Hang of This Retirement Thing

Tunes, man. We get older, they stay the same age. A full 20 years after Bugs Bunny and company yanked Michael Jordan deep inside Earth’s core, Space Jam is making a comeback (don’t call it that). The sports classic, about the war waged by the Nerdlucks against the Looney Tunes, Michael Jordan, Bill Murray, and Newman from Seinfeld, will return to the silver screen for two days in honor of its anniversary. The screenings are courtesy of Warner Bros. and Fathom Events, presumably because they knew you needed an adult excuse to rewatch Space Jam and decided to provide the assist. Space Jam will boogie back to theaters on November 13 and November 16, at which point M.J. will gracefully pass the intergalactic basketball mantle to LeBron James for good.
